Plant & Flower Care (Plants, Roses & Poinsettias)
We know how hard and daunting it can be to keep flowers and plants alive. It's frustrating when even though you're trying your best, the flowers or plants just don't last as long as they should. In order to lengthen the longevity of your blooms life, we have curated some of our best tips for our most popular products.
Fresh Plants (Dish Gardens)
Moderately bright light is preferred: Protect from direct sun in summer; place near sunny window in winter.
Moderately moist soil is preferred: Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Avoid over watering; do not allow plants to stand in water. Check for excess water in container liner at base of pots; drain excess hater to prevent root rot and protect furniture.
Special note: The plants in the garden are in individual pots which have been placed together in the container.
Moderate temperatures are ideal: 65-70°F (18-21°C) daytimes and 60-65°F(15-18°C) nights. Avoid excessively hot or cold areas.
Fertilize periodically: following manufacturer’s directions.
Key tip for success: Plants may dry out faster in individual pots. Check often and water as necessary for proper growth.
Fresh Cut Roses
On arrival: Re-cut stems with a sharp knife, taking care to ensure that the stem bark in not cut or scraped. Make sure any wrapping or foliage is removed below the water line. Lastly, add floral preservatives in the water as directed on the package.
To arrange: Use a clean vase with ample water capacity. Roses are thirsty and need lots of water; so keep the vase full by adding water daily. If arranging foam is used, saturate it thoroughly in water and floral preservative. Insert stems firmly (if you are arranging yourself.)
Display in a cool location out of direct sun. Avoid any direct source of heat, including the top of the TV set which is hot when set is on.
Artificial Plants: Silk, Plastic Flowers and Trees; and Natural Dried Flowers

Poinsettias
Moderately bright light (diffused sunlight) is preferred
Moderately moist soil is best: but avoid wet soil. For pots with drainage, just surface soil should be dry to the touch, before watering again.
